a note from wendy

I have been unable to find any evidence to suggest that the PROPER use of essential oils in pregnancy can be anything but beneficial. However, it is important to treat the substances with respect and follow a few guidelines. Ultimately, the responsibility for the health and well being of your and your unborn child is you.

My aim in creating the Blossoming range is to help pregnancy and childbirth be a joyful and positive experience for you, your partner and baby. All the essential oils, their carriers and the various formulations have been selected to enhance, not harm.

Personally, I don’t recommend lower back or tummy
massage during the first trimester as the foetus can be unstable until after week 12. This is particularly
important to remember if you or your female relatives
have a history of miscarriage. Secondly, some aromatherapists suggest essential oils which are classified emmenagogic (producing menstruation) be avoided. Be assured that with an obviously gentle touch, the blossoming range can be used with confidence.
